Action Board

Transform Your Digital Marketing Intelligence Into Results

The Action Board is your central command centre for turning SERP360's insights and your marketing initiatives into organised, prioritised workflows that drive real business growth.

What Is SERP360's Action Board?

Think of the Action Board as your marketing mission control. It's where all your SEO analysis, content opportunities, user behaviour insights, and custom marketing tasks come together in one visual kanban-style workflow system.

Instead of having insights scattered across reports, emails, and meetings, everything becomes a clear action item that moves through stages: To DoIn ProgressCompleted.

The board works like a kanban system - you can see all your work at a glance and drag tasks between columns as they progress through your workflow.

Getting Started

Your First Look

When you open the Action Board, you'll see three columns representing your workflow stages:

  • To Do - New tasks waiting to be started
  • In Progress - Work currently being done
  • Completed - Finished tasks and their results

If you're new to the platform, you'll see an empty state with a prompt to create your first action item.

The Dashboard Summary

Your dashboard shows at a glance:

  • Completion percentage - How much of your current work is done
  • Task breakdown - Numbers for each workflow stage
  • Priority levels - How many urgent, important, and routine tasks you have
  • Active projects - How many different initiatives you're managing

How Tasks Get Added

Automatic Task Creation

The clever bit about the Action Board is that it creates tasks for you automatically:

Daily Alerts: When SERP360 detects ranking changes, technical issues, or competitive threats, these become action items automatically. You wake up to a clear list of what needs attention.

AI Analysis: Throughout the platform, when you run AI analysis on keywords, content, or user behaviour, you can add the recommendations directly to your Action Board with one click.

Adding Tasks from AI Analysis

Here's how simple it is:

  1. Run any AI analysis (keyword research, content gaps, competitor analysis, etc.)
  2. Review the recommendations the AI provides
  3. Click the + button next to any recommendation you want to action
  4. Choose which project this task belongs to
  5. The task appears in your Action Board with all the context included

The task will include the AI's specific recommendations in the description field, along with relevant keywords, pages, and technical details.

Creating Custom Tasks

You can also add your own tasks for any marketing work:

  • Content creation projects
  • Website improvements
  • Social media campaigns
  • Email marketing initiatives
  • Paid advertising campaigns
  • Team meetings and planning
  • Any other marketing activities

Simply click "Create New Task" and fill in the details.

Organising Your Work

Projects

Group related tasks into projects. For example:

  • "Q1 Content Strategy"
  • "Website Redesign"
  • "Competitor Response Campaign"
  • "Social Media Launch"

This helps you see all tasks related to a specific initiative in one place.

Priority Levels

Priority Description Examples
Immediate Urgent issues that could impact traffic or rankings, or critical deadlines Ranking drops, site errors, campaign launch deadlines
Near-term Important opportunities that should be addressed soon Content optimisation, new feature launches
Can Wait Routine optimisations and longer-term projects General improvements, future planning

Tags

Use tags to categorise tasks by:

  • Content type (blog posts, landing pages, product pages)
  • Marketing channel (SEO, PPC, social, email)
  • Team responsibility (design, development, content)
  • Campaign themes

You can create new tags on the fly or select from existing ones.

Working with Tasks

Task Details

Click on any task to see and edit:

Field Purpose
Title The task name
Status To Do, In Progress, or Completed
Due Date When the task should be finished
Project Which project this task belongs to
Description Full details and context (AI analysis recommendations appear here)
Priority Immediate, Near-term, or Can Wait
Tags Categories for organising and filtering tasks

These fields are completely flexible. When AI analysis creates tasks, it populates the description field with structured recommendations, but you can edit any field to match your workflow needs.

The kanban-style interface makes workflow management intuitive:

  • Drag and drop tasks between columns as work progresses

Keep Tasks Specific

Regular Reviews

Schedule weekly reviews to:

  • Clear completed tasks
  • Reprioritise based on new information
  • Add upcoming work to your pipeline

Balance Reactive and Proactive

Let automatic alerts handle urgent issues while you focus on strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.

Use the visual nature of the kanban board to:

  • Spot workflow bottlenecks quickly

  • Maintain steady progress on all projects
