Category Summary
This table shows how each category ranks across different search engines. It highlights your best and worst keyword positions. It also indicates overall trends, so you can spot whether a category is improving, declining, or staying stable.
Table Columns
1.Category – The name of the content category (e.g., “Blog,” “Products”).
2.Search Engine – A small logo for Google, Bing, or Yahoo.
3.Best Position – Your highest (best) ranking within that category. A smaller number means a better rank.
4.Best Keyword – The keyword(s) that achieved that best position.
5.Worst Position – Your lowest (worst) ranking in that category. A bigger number means a lower rank.
6.Worst Keyword – The keyword(s) that landed you in that worst position.
7.Category Trend – An arrow showing if your best and worst positions are going up (improving), down (declining), or staying the same (stable).
Using the Table
1.Navigation – Scroll through rows to see your categories.
2.Pagination – Click page numbers below the table to view more entries if you have many categories.
3.Selecting a Search Group – Use the dropdown at the top to filter results by a specific group of settings or location. Choose “All Search Groups” to view everything.
Tips
Check Best vs. Worst – A small gap between best and worst positions usually means consistent rankings. A wide gap suggests you should look closer.
Look at Trends – If a category is declining, focus your optimization there. A stable or improving category may still benefit from routine maintenance.
The Category Summary Table makes it easy to track category performance at a glance. Expand your analysis by comparing positions, investigating big gaps, and focusing on categories with negative trends. A few quick checks each week keep you on top of any shifts in search performance.
