Cluster CSV Import
The CSV import feature lets you quickly upload clusters, topics, and subtopics into your project. This guide explains CSV preparation and the import process.
Preparing Your CSV File
CSV Format
Your CSV must have these columns in the exact order listed:
- Cluster Name (Required) - Main content group
- Topic Name (Optional) - Topic name within the cluster
- Topic Intent (Optional) - Purpose (Informational, Commercial, etc.)
- Topic Journey (Optional) - Stage in the customer journey
- Topic URL (Optional) - Published URL
- Subtopic Name (Optional) - Subtopic within a topic
- Subtopic Intent (Optional) - Purpose of subtopic
- Subtopic Journey (Optional) - Stage in customer journey
- Subtopic URL (Optional) - Published URL for subtopic

Important Notes
- Required Column: Only "Cluster Name" is mandatory.
- Hierarchy: To add subtopics, include a "Topic Name."
- Publishing Status: Items with URLs are auto-marked as "published"; items without URLs remain "unpublished."
- File Size Limit: Maximum file size is 3MB.
Importing Your CSV
- Select your project.
- Go to the Import tab.
- Select your CSV file.
- Click Upload & Import.
- Await confirmation.
Troubleshooting
If your import fails:
- Confirm CSV formatting matches requirements.
- Ensure file size is under 3MB.
- Remove problematic special characters.
- Check that "Cluster Name" is present for all rows.
Creating Your CSV
Use any spreadsheet tool like:
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets
Save as CSV (Comma Separated Values).
